While there are so many conferences across the world that fit into the categories of ‘science’ and ‘technology and ‘government,’ this site will focus on ASPA-specific and Public Administration/Public Management conferences.
SeCOPA 2023
CALL FOR PAPERS
GOVERNING FOR A RESILIENT FUTURE
SECoPA 2023 is now accepting proposals for presentations at the annual meeting in Atlanta, Georgia, from Wednesday, September 27 through Saturday, September 30, 2023.
Since 1969, the Southeast Conference for Public Administration has been the home of public administration research and dialogue for the ten-state southeast region. Governing for a resilient future is the theme for SECoPA 2023.
Governments and non-profit organizations in the southeast region and around the globe are adopting new strategies and management approaches to address pressing public policy and management challenges. Public administration research and scholarship can illuminate paths to improve the quality of governance, the equity of program implementation and service delivery, and the long-term social and ecological health of communities. The conference invites research presentations on a wide range of topics within the field of public administration and policy, and we urge potential participants to consider how their work contributes to a resilient future.
Atlanta, Georgia welcomes conference guests to the Atlanta Marriott Marquis (265 Peachtree Center Avenue, Atlanta) for panel presentations, keynote speakers, and conference receptions that provide time for conversations about the role of public administration in a resilient future. Visit the conference website to learn more about conference amenities and sites to see while visiting Georgia’s capital city.

ASPA 2022
ASPA’s Annual Conference provides a yearly opportunity to bring together public administrators from across the discipline.
The 2022 Annual Conference will take place in person in Jacksonville, Florida, March 18-22. Bringing attendees together around the theme, “Democracy under Threat: The Future of Equality in a Post-COVID World,” we look forward once again bringing the public administration profession together and tackling our biggest challenges together.
The conference website will be posted in the coming weeks and will provide more details.
SSTIG will be submitting a panel on how Science and Technology contribute to this year’s theme. Please look at the Conference Tracks to see if you have a paper idea you would like to submit. These can be research, teaching, or practitioner-focused. If you do, please share the abstract with us so we can form like-themed panels for submission. You can email them to Dr. Georgette Dumont, and she will confirm its receipt and if any additional information is needed.
The deadline for proposals is October 29th. Please submit your ideas by October 15th so that like panels can be formed and a narrative developed.
